Job summary

Processor's Choice Ingredients seeks a detail-oriented Controller to lead the Moody Office finance team. The role directs accounting operations, internal controls, budgeting, and financial reporting to support strategic decisions and profitability.

Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration with the CFO are essential for success. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of accounting leadership, experience in a food-related environment, and CPA or MBA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-10 years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Experience in food distribution or related industries preferred.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Strong leadership and management skills; excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in ERP systems; Sage X3 preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications; Outlook, Excel, Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, budgeting, audits, and financial analysis.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure timely close and cash flow.
• Direct monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with CFO and senior leadership on strategic financial planning.
• Lead staff accountants and provide development opportunities.
