Job summary

DRC Heat Transfer in Chicago, IL, part of Smiths Group, seeks a Controller to lead financial strategy, governance, and monthly close. You will partner with senior leadership to drive performance and provide strategic financial advice.

Lead a high-performing finance team, establish internal controls, and support capital projects while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement. MBA/CPA preferred, manufacturing experience valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• MBA and/or CPA highly desirable.
• GAAP knowledge and financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and forecasting.
• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Establish and maintain internal controls for asset protection and compliance.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Present financial information to leadership with insights and recommendations.
• Evaluate investments and structure for capital expenditures.
• Lead the finance team and drive process improvements.
