Job summary

Southwest Mobile Storage, Inc. is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee the accounting function and support executive leadership with strategic insights.

This full-time, onsite position in Phoenix requires a strong background in GAAP, financial reporting, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in accounting and finance, with proven abilities in managing month-end close processes, compliance, and developing KPIs.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a Controller or similar role.
• Active CPA license preferred but not required.
• Experience managing month-end close processes and consolidated financial statements.
• Multi-state sales tax compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions and ensure financial accuracy.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team to foster growth.
• Develop KPIs and financial reporting tools for leadership.
• Manage banking relationships and monitor cash management activities.
