Job summary

UT Health Sciences seeks an Account and Budget Manager to lead budgeting, reporting, and financial operations for the College of Dentistry. You will manage the general ledger, payroll, grant budgets, and compliance, collaborating with senior finance leaders and department chairs.

You will develop multi-year budgets, produce detailed financial statements, and create Power BI/Cognos dashboards to track key metrics across clinics and departments. Strong GAAP knowledge required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Four (4) years of financial management, accounting, or budget administration experience; or a combination to equal eight (8) years.

Responsibilities

• Oversees budgeting, reporting, accounting, grants, and compliance.
• Develops budget for college units, clinics, and auxiliary services.
• Forecasts enrollment, patient volumes, and grant commitments with stakeholders.
• Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Maintains general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and cashiering oversight.
• Creates dashboards tracking revenue, cost, AR aging, and budget utilization.
• Ensures payroll and grant cost-share compliance; supervises payroll reconciliation.
• Supports grant budgeting and cost-sharing schedules per guidelines.
