Job summary

Oscar is looking for an Associate, Strategic Finance to join the FP&A team in New York. You will support financial planning, analytics, and business insights for Corporate, Operations, and Technology divisions, partnering with leaders on projections and reviews.

You will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance & Corporate Development. The role requires a hybrid schedule with 3 in-office days in NYC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Actuarial field.
• 4+ years finance experience including healthcare/insurance/financial services.
• 2+ years experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
• 2+ years experience working with C-level executives.
• Bonus points: MBA in finance or MS in Financial Analysis; SQL/BigQuery; NetSuite and Adaptive.

Responsibilities

• Craft recommendations using a data-driven approach for pricing decisions to influence growth and bottom-line.
• Support build of models and tooling that produce relevant business insights, including competitive intelligence insights and scenario modeling.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Regional Leaders, Plan Design and Sales teams to develop portfolio strategy for each Oscar market.
• Identify and research profitability tradeoffs, market trends, and membership insights to guide company-wide strategic decisions.
• Source, organize, and analyze data to support all strategic programs in the team.
• Monitor ACA trends to inform tactics during selling season.
• Report intra-year membership analytics to leadership to understand health of the business.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
