Job summary

Uber in New York City is seeking a Strategic Finance professional to scale financial reporting, analytics, and planning for Tech Finance. You will partner with executives to forecast financials, model opportunities, and inform decisions impacting riders, drivers, and partners.

The role requires 2+ years FP&A or related experience, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and GAAP knowledge. You will work with accounting to align actuals and drive data-informed strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, MIS or related field.
• 2+ years of proven experience in finance, FP&A or related roles.
• Experience with Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience with FP&A, investment banking, consulting, private equity, or operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial forecasts and operational goals with leadership.
• Apply business judgment to assist with decisions on new initiatives, products, and opportunities.
• Build and improve financial models from scratch and iterate on existing models.
• Partner with team to execute projects and operationalize insights.
• Collaborate with accounting on management reporting and understanding actuals.
• Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets.
