The Opportunity
The Strategic Finance Associate will join a lean, high-impact finance team and have significant ownership across financial modeling, planning, M&A, partnerships, and strategic analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance who wants to move into a high-growth operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the company's integrated financial model, including three-statement modeling, budgeting, and rolling forecasts.
- Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis and prepare executive-ready reporting.
- Build customer and product-level pricing, unit economics, margin, and scenario models.
- Support M&A analysis, including DCF/LBO valuation, synergies, accretion/dilution, and integration tracking.
- Own the 3–5 year long-range financial plan.
- Support joint venture and strategic partnership analysis, including economic modeling and term sheet evaluation.
- Develop capital allocation frameworks and evaluate investment opportunities.
- Prepare Board materials, investor reporting, and ad hoc analyses.
- Partner with Operations, Sales, and Engineering on strategic initiatives and financial decision-making.
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- 2+ years of investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance experience at a high-growth company.
- Experience with financial modeling, variance analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Excel and financial modeling capabilities.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Nice to Haves
- Private equity or growth equity experience, particularly at the portfolio-company level.
- Manufacturing, hardware, deep tech, or industrial experience.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience with FP&A/planning tools such as Mosaic, Pigment, or Adaptive.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets.
