Job summary

Oscar Health is seeking an Associate, Strategic Finance to support financial planning, analytics, and business insights for Corporate, Operations, and Technology divisions. You will collaborate with Finance leaders on reviews, projections, and strategic partnerships with business leadership.

You will build reporting and analytical insights to reveal spending patterns, forecasts, and present findings to senior leadership for decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Actuarial or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience working with C-level executives.
• 4+ years of finance experience including experience in Healthcare, Consulting, Insurance or Financial Services.
• 2+ years of experience with google products - Sheets, Docs and Slides or Microsoft products.
• Proficiency working with NetSuite and Adaptive.
• Experience in the managed care, healthcare or insurance.
• Proficiency in SQL/BigQuery to analyze large datasets.
• MBA in finance, MS in Financial Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning, analytics, and business insights for the business (i.e. Corporate, Operations, Technology division).
• Work with Finance leaders on business reviews, full-year projections, and strategic partnership with business leadership.
• Create new reporting and analytical insights to ensure visibility into business spending patterns, projections, and presents findings to leadership at multiple levels.
• Report into the Senior Director, Strategic Finance & Corporate Development.
• Craft recommendations using a data-driven approach for senior executives to inform pricing decisions that influence growth and bottom line.
• Support build of models and tooling that produce relevant business insights, including competitive intelligence and scenario modeling.
• Collaborate with Actuarial, Regional Leaders, Plan Design and Sales teams to develop portfolio strategy for each Oscar market.
• Identify and research profitability tradeoffs, market trends, and membership insights to guide company-wide strategic decisions.
• Source, organize, and analyze data to support all strategic programs in the team.
• Monitor important metrics and identify trends around the ACA landscape for leadership to inform tactics during selling season.
• Report intra-year membership analytics to leadership to understand health of the business.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned
