Job summary

Austincc is seeking a qualified Finance Specialist at the GS-11/12 level to provide technical interpretation of finance system requirements to financial managers. The role involves analyzing resources and funds across programs, forecasting expenditures and ensuring fiscal integrity.

You will research regulatory material for procedures, relate organizational needs to budget figures, and prepare summary briefs for leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of specialized experience at GS-09 level or equivalent.
• Strong ability to analyze budgets, expenditures and policies.
• Experience communicating program information to external partners.

Responsibilities

• Furnishes technical interpretation and guidance to financial managers regarding finance system requirements.
• Analyzes, forecasts, and interprets functions related to management and control of resources or funds, tracking and control of funds for the organization’s programs and activities.
• Research regulatory material to locate appropriate procedures for various financial transactions.
• Relates needs of the organization to anticipated and/or actual dollar figures in the budget.
