Job summary

SUNY Ulster seeks a Vice President for Administration and Finance to serve as CFO, directing budgeting, financial operations, facilities, HR, IT, and related services. The role reports to the College President and collaborates with the Leadership Team to align resources with student success and long-term sustainability.

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
• Seven or more years of increasingly significant responsibilities for complex financial operations.
• Higher education, comparable public sector, or non-profit experience preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and implement financial/operational strategy for the College.
• Provide multi-year financial modeling, scenario planning, and revenue forecasting.
• Advise the College President on fiscal issues and policy impacts.
• Oversee budgeting, accounting, procurement, and student accounts operations.
• Coordinate budget preparation and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Lead departments including Accounting, HR, IT, Facilities, and Public Safety.
