Job summary

SUNY Ulster seeks a Vice President for Administration and Finance to serve as CFO, overseeing budget, accounting, procurement, facilities, HR, IT, and risk management. This senior role reports to the College President and guides strategic decisions to ensure financial health and alignment with the college’s mission.

The position manages capital projects, negotiates with bargaining units, and acts as Board Treasurer for the Ulster Community College Association. Salary is competitive with benefits.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Seven or more years of increasingly significant responsibilities for complex financial operations.
  • CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee the administration of financial operations and the college budget.
  • Provide financial analysis, multi-year modeling, and revenue forecasting.
  • Advise the President on fiscal policy and strategic financial decisions.
  • Lead procurement, accounting, student accounts, and financial information systems.
