SUNY Ulster seeks a Vice President for Administration and Finance to serve as CFO, directing financial strategy, budgeting, and operations to support student success and long-term sustainability. The role reports to the College President and works with the Leadership Team on institutional priorities and risk management.

The position requires a master’s degree in a related field, extensive public/non-profit accounting experience, and CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or related field.
• Seven or more years of increasing responsibilities for complex financial operations.
• Higher education, comparable public sector, or non-profit experience.
• Certified Public Accountant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage financial/operational strategy for the College.
• Provide multi-year financial modeling, forecasting, and risk assessment.
• Advise College President on fiscal issues and policy impacts.
• Oversee budget preparation, processes, and resource allocation.
• Supervise Accounting, Student Accounts, Purchasing, HR, IT, Plant Operations, and Public Safety.
