Job summary

The GEO Group is seeking a seasoned finance operations professional to join our Charlotte facility. This role develops and manages accounting procedures, payroll, purchasing, and related support services to ensure accurate fiscal reporting and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include budgeting, cost management, and safeguarding compliance across finance functions. You will lead a team, oversee billing, and coordinate with the Warden to meet monthly targets while maintaining data accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business related field and at least five years in a finance-related role with budget prep/control or government contracts administration preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and decision-making skills for a supervisory role.
• Ability to operate computers and typical department software.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and monitors annual budget and informs management of budget status.
• Monitors staffing roster, overtime, medical costs and coordinates with Warden to help achieve monthly budget.
• Directs work of other employees including hiring, evaluating, training, promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Maintains recording and control procedures for accounts collection, evaluation, processing, submission, and reconciliation.
• Participates in overall facility planning activities.
