Directive Consulting is a leading B2B performance marketing agency known for driving revenue through its Customer Generation approach. The Director of Finance & Accounting will lead the finance function, shape labor models, optimize staffing and billable utilization, and drive disciplined cost management to expand margins and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA a bonus.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within performance marketing agencies.
• Experience in a digital agency or similar services related industries a plus.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial management systems.
• Proven ability to hold business units accountable to budget and goals.
• Solid understanding and experience with tax regulations and compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Close and Reporting: Ensure GAAP-compliant 5 day close with timely reports and P&L oversight.
• Controls: Design and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
• Treasury: Manage cash, AR/AP, and 13-week cash flow forecasting.
• Revenue & Margin: Oversee revenue recognition for retainer/projects; FP&A support for gross margin targets.
• Team Leadership: Develop and lead Controller and close team.
• Systems & Processes: Improve reporting automation and efficiencies.
