Semtech is seeking a Principal Field Application Engineer to drive $100M+ in design-win revenue and establish market dominance in hyperscaler data centers. The role combines technical leadership with strategic business impact in AI connectivity.

You will secure immediate design wins for high-speed ICs for optical and copper interconnect, while leading long-term customer co-development. The role blends advisory influence across sales and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).
• 8+ years of proven FAE experience with strategic customer engagement.
• Expertise in signal integrity for 800G, 1.6T, 3.2T applications.
• Knowledge of optical transceiver architecture and high-speed PCB design.
• Experience with hyperscaler data center architectures and co-development.

Responsibilities

• Drive design wins for Semtech's portfolio with data center customers.
• Accelerate design-in cycles and remove technical barriers for immediate revenue.
• Lead co-development initiatives for 1.6T and 3.2T+ with customer teams.
• Create joint innovation programs with Tier 1 hyperscalers.
• Align product roadmap with customer evolution plans.
