Job summary

The City of Greenville seeks a dynamic Buildings and Grounds Facilities Manager to lead facility maintenance, custodial services, and event support for city facilities. The role reports to the Buildings and Grounds Superintendent and guides staff to optimize preventive maintenance, inspections, and project oversight.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in maintenance engineering, industrial technology, construction management, or related fields.
• At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in structural maintenance, electrical and/or mechanical systems, construction management, or building and grounds.
• High school diploma or GED with six months to one year of related study; and at least five (5) years of experience in building facilities maintenance with at least three (3) years as lead worker or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and manage staff responsible for building maintenance and custodial services.
• Develop operational maintenance schedules and on-call response plans for city facilities.
• Develop PM schedules for departmental buildings and infrastructure.
• Inspect facilities, grounds, and equipment to determine maintenance needs and ensure quality work.
• Prepare reports and records including work order tracking and budgets.
