Job summary

The City of Greenville is seeking a Buildings and Grounds Facilities Manager to provide leadership for the city’s building maintenance program, custodial services, and event support. Under the Buildings and Grounds Superintendent, you will supervise staff, develop PM schedules, manage budgets, and coordinate with vendors to maintain facilities and infrastructure.

This exempt, full-time role requires a background in maintenance or construction management, plus several years of supervisory

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in maintenance/related field.
• Three years of supervisory experience in maintenance/buildings.
• High school diploma + related study and five years’ experience in maintenance lead roles.
• Licenses/certifications in contracting, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and manage staff responsible for building maintenance and custodial services.
• Develop operational maintenance schedules and on-call response plans for city facilities.
• Assign PM schedules and ensure efficient use of staff.
• Develop PM schedules for buildings and infrastructure.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Inspect facilities, grounds, and equipment; prepare repair estimates.
