Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks an External Communications Specialist to position the company through strategic storytelling, media relations support, and thought leadership. This role is based full-time in our office in San Diego, CA, with location details discussed during interview.

You will develop content highlighting people, projects, innovations, partnerships, and industry expertise, working with internal experts and leaders to surface compelling narratives for external audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, or related field.
• 5+ years in communications, PR, journalism, content marketing, media relations, or related discipline.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Strong interviewing, research, and information-gathering capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft and coordinate external communications materials (press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, talking points, briefing documents).
• Support media outreach, interview preparation, and relationship-building with industry media and external stakeholders.
• Monitor industry developments to increase visibility of SOLV Energy, its projects, and leaders.
