Job summary

The Dot Group in New York is seeking a proactive Communications professional to manage external communications across its portfolio of brands. You will draft press materials, manage media inquiries, and support events while developing content across websites, social channels and campaigns.

You will build journalist relationships, monitor media trends and use CMS and SEO practices to boost visibility, while collaborating with design and analytics teams to deliver high-quality outputs.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and editing skills with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build relationships with journalists across multiple sectors.
• Experience managing social channels, content calendars and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Draft press releases, media pitches, statements and Q&As.
• Build relationships with journalists across corporate and consumer titles.
• Handle media enquiries and coordinate interviews and spokesperson requests.
• Prepare spokesperson briefing packs with topic research.
• Monitor media coverage, social conversation and trends.
• Publish news and campaign content on CMS with SEO best practices.
• Plan and manage social media calendar and create engaging content.
• Create and edit video/visual content; brief designers as needed.
• Use AI tools in line with policy to improve efficiency.
• Coordinate events and manage communications for conferences and awards.
• Track and report on coverage, website and social performance.
