Job summary

MassMutual’s External Annuity Wholesale team seeks a driven professional to grow annuity sales with third-party distributors across NY and NJ. Build relationships with banks, credit unions, wirehouses, and broker dealers, while partnering with an internal wholesaler to hit territory goals.

The role requires 3+ years in annuity sales, strong presentation skills, and up to 90% travel. Licenses (Life/Health, FINRA 6/7, 63) are expected; base plus incentives offer substantial total earnings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of annuity or investment solutions sales experience.
• 2+ years with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
• State Life and Health License.
• FINRA Series Licenses 6 or 7 at time of application.
• State Securities License Series 63 at time of application.
• High School Diploma.
• Ability to travel upwards of 90% within territory.
• Must reside in territory – NYC or NJ.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develop, maintain, and grow annuity sales relationships with financial professionals in the Territory.
• Execute on territory sales goals with banks, credit unions, broker dealers to maximize opportunities.
• Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan to drive revenue and results.
• Complete minimum of 20 in-person meetings per week.
• Understand annuity products, positioning, riders, and market trends.
• Partner with internal teams to achieve goals and manage escalations.
• Travel up to 90% within territory and manage travel budget.
