Job summary

eShocan LLC is seeking an experienced Expendable Packaging Buyer to strengthen our inbound supply chain for all packaging used in production. This hands-on role focuses on sourcing packaging materials, running RFQ processes, validating pricing, and driving cost reductions as we scale toward 2027 targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in automotive or manufacturing.
• Direct experience sourcing expendable packaging (corrugate, foam, dunnage, packaging, etc.).
• Strong RFQ management and supplier negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with cost analysis, should-cost modeling, and VA/VE methodologies.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and purchasing of expendable packaging materials for all inbound component and system suppliers.
• Execute RFQ processes, analyze bids, and award business based on total cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Validate and benchmark supplier pricing; identify discrepancies and negotiate corrections.
• Develop and track cost reduction initiatives targeting 2026 2027 production ramp.
• Partner with engineering, logistics, and quality teams to ensure packaging specifications meet protection and compliance requirements.
• Maintain and manage supplier relationships, scorecards, and delivery performance.
• Support packaging transitions as component sourcing evolves during vehicle launch.
