Job summary

Align Search Partners seeks a Buyer to support new product launches, customer-supplied materials, and ongoing manufacturing operations. The role will work closely with suppliers, customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure materials are purchased, tracked, and delivered on time while meeting quality, cost, and production requirements.

Experience within food & beverage, packaging, chemicals, consumer products, or contract manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, materials, or supply chain experience.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Experience with food & beverage, packaging, chemicals, or contract manufacturing preferred.
• ERP/MRP system experience required.
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and manage raw materials, packaging, and customer-supplied materials.
• Set up and maintain material data including pricing, MOQs, lead times, and shipping requirements.
• Track and expedite open purchase orders to support production schedules.
• Communicate material shortages, delays, and supply risks to internal teams.
• Work with suppliers and carriers to resolve delivery, quality, damage, and return issues.
• Coordinate documentation for new suppliers and materials, specifications, regulatory documents, and credit applications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
