Job summary

Heidrick & Struggles in New York seeks an Executive Search Associate who works closely with Search Partners and Principals across the recruitment lifecycle—from candidate identification to placement.

You will conduct industry research, help develop position specifications, coordinate interviews, and manage candidate relationships while delivering high-quality, client-ready insights on tight timelines.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of professional recruiting or 2+ years of transferable recruiting experience.
• Undergraduate BA/BS degree.
• Strong professional communication, writing and presenting information with impact.
• Ability to collaborate with external clients and candidates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industry and client research to map the executive talent landscape.
• Support consultants in developing position specifications and search strategy.
• Prepare business development and candidate assessment documents for clients.
• Contact prospective candidates to elicit interest and gather referrals.
• Assist with in-depth interviews to assess qualifications.
• Manage candidate relationships and maintain status reports and reports.
• Coordinate multiple projects and deliver high-quality outputs on time.
• Collaborate across stakeholders and maintain professionalism and ethics.
