Job summary

The Ohio Children's Alliance is seeking a collaborative Executive Director to lead its Ohio Afterschool Network (OAN) as a part-time, remote role (.75 FTE) with potential to transition to full-time as funding allows. The position requires residency in Ohio and occasional travel within the state.

Responsibilities include strategic leadership, policy advocacy, fundraising, and building partnerships to advance high-quality afterschool and OST opportunities for Ohio's children and families.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in OST, youth development, or nonprofit leadership.
• Knowledge of the OST field and the role of afterschool and summer programs.
• Experience with public policy, advocacy, government relations, and coalition building.
• Experience securing and managing public or private funding.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to advance OAN's priorities and strengthen governance and sustainability.
• Advocate for Ohio's OST community, influence policy, and raise public awareness.
• Lead fundraising and diversify funding through grants, partnerships, sponsorships, and revenue opportunities.
• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships across education, workforce, and government sectors.
• Support program quality and workforce development through standards and professional growth.
• Develop and oversee a coordinated communications strategy for stakeholders and funders.
• Provide operational and fiscal leadership with budgets and performance tracking.
