Job summary

The Ohio Children’s Alliance is seeking a collaborative Executive Director to lead the Ohio Afterschool Network (OAN). This .75 FTE role requires strategic leadership, relationship building, and a commitment to equity across Ohio's OST partners.

The Executive Director will steer advocacy, fundraising, partnerships, and program quality, with opportunities to grow to full-time as funding allows and periodic travel within Ohio.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in out-of-school time, youth development, or nonprofit leadership.
• Experience with public policy, advocacy, government relations, and coalition building.
• Experience securing and managing public and/or private funding.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to advance OAN priorities and ensure sustainability.
• Advocate for Ohio's OST policy priorities and build relationships with decision-makers.
• Lead fundraising efforts through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.
• Build and align partnerships across education, workforce, and government sectors.
• Support professional development and workforce initiatives in OST.
• Develop a coordinated communications strategy for visibility and engagement.
• Oversee annual budgets and fiscal operations.
