Job summary

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Las Cruces seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead the organization in mission, governance, and community impact. You will partner with the Board, clergy, parishes, and community partners to advance programs and fundraising.

The role requires building strategic priorities, ensuring financial stability, and guiding program quality through CCDLC's mission-driven work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, nonprofit management, public administration, theology, pastoral ministry, or related field is required; master's degree or higher strongly preferred.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive executive leadership experience in a nonprofit, Catholic ministry, healthcare, higher education, or other mission-driven organization.
• Experience supervising staff and building relationships with clergy, board members, donors, volunteers, and community partners.
• Strong financial and governance skills, including budgeting, long-term planning, and organizational sustainability.
• Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight of CCDLC and lead the executive team toward the mission and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate with the Board to set goals and translate them into actionable priorities, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead organizational improvements within Board-established parameters and report progress regularly.
• Develop the annual budget with the Treasurer and ensure operations stay within approved plans.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and oversee foundation relations and capital campaigns.
