Job summary

Mississippi Behavioral Health Services is seeking an Executive Director to drive the organization’s mission and vision. You will lead a team of professionals, oversee the annual operations plan and budget, and ensure strong day-to-day leadership across regions.

This role partners with the Clinical Director, Compliance Officer and staff to develop programs, manage licensure and contracts, and steer strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate level degree (master's level or above) with at least 3 full-time years of admin experience in services related to mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use.
• Bachelor's degree with at least seven years of full-time administrative experience in services related to mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or substance use.
• LPC, LCSW or LMFT licensure in Mississippi preferred.
• Strong background in strategic planning and execution.
• Demonstrated success in business development.
• Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual operations plan and budget; lead the performance management process and provide strong day-to-day leadership across staff.
• Partner with Clinical Director, Compliance Officer and staff to ensure IT, quality improvement, and corporate communications are functioning appropriately.
• Review services offered and develop new programs as needs emerge.
• Oversee licensure, human rights, personnel, finance, and contracts, directly or through staff oversight.
• Inform the Board of Directors of program issues and accomplishments.
• Lead strategic planning and implement new processes and approaches to achieve organizational goals.
