Job summary

Acadia Healthcare in Memphis, TN is seeking a seasoned Behavioral Health Services Director to plan, coordinate and oversee clinical services across the facility. You will drive quality, access and patient safety while leading multidisciplinary teams.

You will review performance metrics, develop improvement plans, manage staff, ensure compliance with accreditation and funding standards, and represent Acadia in community meetings. A master’s degree and several years of supervision are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or psychiatric nursing.
• Five+ years of behavioral health clinical experience with SMI/SED/DD/SUD.
• Three+ years of supervision experience.
• Three+ years in management or utilization management.
• Full licensure in LLP/LP, LPC, LMSW, NP/RN; CPR and de‑escalation certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations across assigned areas.
• Monitor and improve clinical services, treatment, and access.
• Review performance data and develop improvement plans.
• Manage staff: hiring, development, performance management and communication.
• Develop and implement behavioral health processes, procedures and policies.
• Participate in planning and reporting cycles; represent the company in the community.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and funding/licensing requirements.
• Prioritize patient safety and address complaints to resolve issues.
