Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. in Akron, Ohio, is seeking an experienced HR professional to support the Executive Compensation group. You will assist with base pay and incentive design, equity programs, and materials for the Compensation Committee, aligning with the company’s philosophy and talent objectives.

You will also analyze compensation trends, prepare ad-hoc reports, and coordinate with executives and external providers to ensure governance and market competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, or related discipline is required.
• 4–7 years of relevant work experience in HR or compensation.
• Strong Excel, analysis, and MS Office skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with executives.

Responsibilities

• Supports administration of equity award programs and LTIP.
• Supports the Executive Deferred Compensation Plan (EDCP) and STIP/LTIP.
• Prepares materials for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Assists with proxy statements and Compensation Discussion & Analysis.
• Compiles data for retirements and inquiries from employees and external providers.
• Provides analytics and reporting for compensation programs.
