Job summary

Pearson is seeking an Advanced Specialist, Events to own critical components of customer-facing events, conferences, sponsorships and association programmes that support our go-to-market priorities.

You will translate business objectives into high-quality event experiences, coordinating internal teams, external partners, vendors and sponsors, ensuring delivery and ongoing programme improvements across a global events function.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience independently managing complex events, conferences and sponsorship programmes.
• Strong project management with scheduling, budgeting and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience using Cvent or similar event management platforms.
• Exposure to Higher Education, Education Technology, SaaS or B2B environments.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned event workstreams from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Manage timelines, budgets, vendors, venues, registration activities and attendee communications.
• Translate objectives into event plans, milestones and success measures.
• Coordinate activities across internal teams and external partners for delivery excellence.
• Support successful event execution with high-quality attendee experience.
• Provide practical guidance and support to junior colleagues.
