Job summary

Sharp Corporation is seeking an experienced leader to direct and coordinate the estimating process for new business opportunities and major product changes. The role interfaces with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Operations and Operational Finance to ensure cost-effective proposals.

The ideal candidate will manage estimate requests, develop detailed cost models, and drive improvements in estimating methods across Sharp Packaging Services and related divisions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cost estimation for new business opportunities.
• Strong ability to coordinate with Sales, Design, Project Management, Quality and Operations.
• Proven track record in developing accurate estimates with material, machine, and labor costs.

Responsibilities

• Directs and maintains the New Business Estimating practice.
• Processes estimate requests from Sales and Marketing.
• Develops estimates including materials, machine rates and labor rates.
• Coordinates with Production to optimize production/packaging for opportunities.
• Assesses tooling, equipment and quality requirements impacting costs.
