Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Purchasing Specialist to support large EPC projects by managing the procurement of goods and services under direct supervision.

This role negotiates supplier terms, drives cost efficiencies, resolves delivery or quality issues, and coordinates with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure the timely flow of materials. Qualifications

• Undergrad degree and 6+ years procurement experience with a global EPC.
• Experience with bid/evaluate/award cycles, contract execution, changes, pricing and scheduling negotiations.
• Proven track record in cost reduction programs.

Responsibilities

• Execute cradle-to-grave purchasing activities for a specific commodity group or project.
• Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives for a project or category.
• Forecast cost drivers and market factors for assigned category.
• Develop category-specific sourcing strategies aligned with engineering and project goals.
• Identify corrective actions for quality or schedule issues with suppliers.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams.
• Maintain supplier base and long-term partnerships; drive continuous improvement.
