Gerdau's Cartersville, GA steel mill is seeking an Environmental Compliance Manager to lead regulatory programs, ensure compliance, and drive sustainability for a large industrial operation.

You will manage permits, EMS, KPIs, and capital projects while partnering with site leadership and regulators to advance safety and environmental performance. Relocation assistance within the U.S. is available.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of environmental compliance experience in heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, permitting, and reporting.
• Experience with regulatory agencies, audits, and EMS programs.

Mansioni

• Lead environmental compliance programs, permits, and reporting (Air, Water, Stormwater, SPCC, Hazardous Waste, SARA, Radiation).
• Oversee the Environmental Management System (EMS) and drive performance improvements.
• Manage environmental KPIs, capital projects, audits, and corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and corporate/site leadership.
• Support landfill operations, groundwater monitoring, and emissions control systems.
• Develop environmental personnel and promote a culture of stewardship and operational excellence.
• Advise plant leadership and act as backup for Health & Safety leadership.
