Job summary
UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement (UL) is seeking a Solutions Architect in Evanston, IL to drive architectural decisions that align with UL’s mission and strategic priorities. The role bridges business needs with technology, guiding solution portfolios, governance, and best practices while working across Azure, AWS, Salesforce, and M365.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar.
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Experience with SaaS/PaaS (M365, Salesforce, Workday) and IaaS (Azure, AWS).
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex technical solutions across diverse technologies.
- Integrate systems, APIs, and data sources to support interoperability and reliable workflows.
- Lead evaluation and selection of platforms and services; design standard and custom configurations.
- Consult on application development, infrastructure design, and system integrations; promote architecture patterns.
- Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and patterns; oversee aging tech and remediation strategies.
