Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections is seeking an Enterprise Project Manager (EPM) for our Office of Strategy and Innovation. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Senior Enterprise Project Manager and collaborates with executive sponsors, managers and staff to lead enterprise-level projects across divisions.

The ideal candidate will manage high-profile initiatives, influence policy implementations, and work with executive leaders to drive results in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in large organizations (1,000+ employees)
• Strong analytical skills to define problems and recommend solutions
• Ability to coach and mentor others
• Tech-savvy; leverage technology to improve efficiency and quality
• Proficient in MS Word for drafting documents

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to project teams on outcome-based project planning
• Manage, direct and develop projects and project plans using charter, schedule, budget, and reports
• Engage sponsor(s), steering committees, and agency stakeholders across authority lines
• Manage expectations and communicate plans actively
• Interact and communicate with executive management regularly
• Provide senior-level leadership and advanced expertise to customers, teams and staff
• Support development of project management capabilities within the agency
• Ensure project status, issues and successes are communicated and documented
