Job summary

Patterson Companies is seeking an Enterprise Data & AI Architect to define and advance our data and AI architecture strategy, standards, and frameworks, enabling secure, scalable data use across the organization. The role leads cross-functional teams, designs data platforms and AI solutions, and mentors engineers on CI/CD, data governance, and architectural best practices to drive business value.

Based in Minnesota, this on-site role collaborates with business leaders to unlock high-value use

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years in data architecture, data engineering, AI architecture, and AI/ML delivery.
• Experience delivering production AI solutions.
• Experience with data warehousing, integration, and AI tools (Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Snowflake, Informatica).

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise data architecture standards and governance.
• Build metadata-driven data lineage frameworks for data quality.
• Design and translate enterprise requirements for a central analytics platform.
• Oversee end-to-end data architecture, warehouses, and integration across systems.
• Lead evaluation and implementation of AI solutions and production AI.
• Drive the enterprise AI automation program with business leaders.
• Optimize data flows balancing accessibility with security and governance.
• Architect API-driven integrations across SAP Ariba, Microsoft Graph, ERP/CRM.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring on architecture, CI/CD and security.
• Advise on data and AI strategy, roadmaps, and architectural best practices.
