Guardian Life Insurance Company of America is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architecture Leader to partner with the Head of Enterprise Architecture in shaping strategy, standards, and target-state roadmaps across business, data, cloud, and security domains.

You will translate strategy into practical guidance for domain teams, drive modernization efforts, and ensure governance and alignment across federated technology groups while mentoring senior architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in enterprise/solution/domain architecture or senior technology strategy roles.
• Experience with cross-domain architecture across apps, data, cloud, security, and platform strategies.
• Ability to influence across organizational boundaries without direct authority.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture leadership for strategic initiatives, modernization programs, and major tech decisions.
• Translate enterprise strategy into guidance for domain architecture and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with federated domain architects, platform leaders, and business technology leaders.
• Ensure governance, standards compliance, and target-state alignment across units.
• Assess options balancing business value, cost, risk, resilience, and time-to-market.
• Mentor architects and contribute to architecture capability development.
