Job summary

Guardian Life is seeking a Solution Architect to own product and team level design and delivery. You will collaborate with Tech Leads, Product Owners and EA teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure technology solutions across data, application and infrastructure layers.

The role emphasizes hands-on architecture work, mentoring engineers, leading PoCs, and aligning roadmaps with enterprise standards while balancing speed and risk in a multi-domain insurance environment.

Qualifications

Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, data integration and modern architectures.
Experience in Agile/product-based delivery models.
Designing hybrid on-premise and cloud architectures.
Proven track record in Insurance domain solutions.
Good understanding of GenAI frameworks, tools and best practices.
Ability to balance speed, quality, risk and long-term sustainability.
Strong communication to translate concepts for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Owns product/team-level solution design and delivery architecture.
Design and document architectures for applications, integrations, data and infra.
Align roadmaps with Product Owners and Tech Leads; trade-offs considered.
Ensure adherence to Guardian standards, security requirements and patterns.
Collaborate with EA and platform teams to reuse enterprise capabilities.
Mentor engineers on architecture principles and design decisions.
Lead proof-of-concepts for new business capabilities and strategy.
Provide hands-on design guidance and resolve technical impediments.
Available for production incidents with major business impact.
