Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an enterprise architect to own technology strategy, standards, and roadmaps for a global firm. This role bridges business strategy with IT execution, guiding architects and shaping the long-term transformational program.

The candidate will mentor teams, drive architecture patterns, and lead governance across cloud, data, and applications, while coordinating with EXO and portfolio management functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with extensive enterprise architecture experience (14+ years).
• Or advanced degree with commensurate experience in enterprise integration.
• Experience leading large transformation initiatives and governance.
• Ability to translate strategy into technical roadmaps and standards.
• Proven track record influencing senior stakeholders and executives.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategies into actionable enterprise technology roadmaps.
• Establish and publish architecture standards across domains.
• Provide architectural direction for major initiatives and programs.
• Mentor engineers and expand architectural capability across teams.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and consolidate platforms.
• Produce architecture artifacts and maintain engagement with engineering.
• Coach teams on patterns, integration design, and decision making.
