Job summary

SAIC seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead architecture across business, systems, data, security, and cloud domains for the VA FSC program. You will translate business goals into scalable technical strategies, guide design efforts across healthcare and financial systems, and mentor teams while delivering robust architectural artifacts.

Qualifications

Must meet the requirements to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation; U.S. citizenship may be required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or other related field.
8 years additional experience in lieu of degree.
10+ years of experience with Enterprise Architecture processes, including project intake, solution architecture, and cloud architecture.
3-5 years of enterprise-level experience across architecture domains (systems, data, interfaces, infrastructure, networking, security, cloud).
Proven experience integrating trading partner technologies with healthcare and financial processing systems using enterprise APIs.
Strong knowledge of financial payroll and accounting systems, electronic healthcare systems, and financial claims processing (X12, HL7).
Hands-on experience with Unicom System Architect and Visio to produce architecture diagrams.
Experience with SOA and API integration platforms (MuleSoft, Oracle Service Bus, JBoss).
Proficiency with SharePoint and PowerPoint for documentation and presentations.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture efforts across multiple EA domains including business, systems, data, security, cloud, and governance.
Translate business strategy into technical roadmaps and architecture deliverables.
Design and maintain architecture diagrams using Unicom System Architect and Visio.
Develop API and integration models for healthcare and financial systems (X12, HL7).
Establish and maintain enterprise design patterns and AI patterns.
Conduct architecture reviews and propose improvements for design, performance, and security.
Provide coaching and technical guidance to team members.
Deliver architecture artifacts within project timelines while managing risk.
