Job summary

SAIC seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead Architecture across business, data, security, cloud, and governance for the VA FSC program. You will translate strategy into scalable technical roadmaps, guide cross‑domain solution design, and drive integration of healthcare and financial systems both on‑prem and in the cloud.

Responsibilities include creating architecture roadmaps, establishing design patterns, and delivering high‑quality assessments and diagrams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture processes including cloud, security, and cost modeling.
• 10+ years of experience with EA processes and governance.
• 3-5 years focused on architecture domains (systems, data, security, cloud).
• Experience integrating trading partner tech with healthcare/financial systems via APIs.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, accounting, healthcare claims processing (X12, HL7).
• Hands-on with Unicom System Architect & Visio to create diagrams (SV01/SV02/SV03).
• Certifications in integration/ESB tech (MuleSoft, JBoss, Oracle Service Bus).

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture efforts across multiple EA domains.
• Translate business strategy into technical roadmaps and deliverables.
• Design and maintain architecture diagrams using Unicom System Architect and Visio.
• Develop API/integration models for healthcare and financial systems (X12/HL7).
• Establish enterprise design patterns and best practices.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor staff.
• Create architecture documentation and drive continuous improvement.
