Job summary

Large International Manufacturing Company in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead automotive engineering and manufacturing teams. The role focuses on driving process design, manufacturing engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives at the site.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, 8+ years in engineering, and 2+ years of plant-level management experience, with ISO-9001/14001 and IATF 16949 familiarity as a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience (preferred).
• 2+ years of management experience in a plant manufacturing environment.
• ISO-9001, ISO-14001 and IATF 16949 experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of automotive engineers and engineering technicians for an efficient, and cost-effective completion of all components of Process Design & Manufacturing Engineering for the site.
• Provide updates of site program progress to the site leadership team and are a key contributor to lean and continuous improvement projects at the site
• Lead Process Design and Manufacturing Engineering - Direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activities
• Lead engineers in implementing operating procedures, resolving system malfunctions, and providing technical support and information.
