Job summary

Macalester College is seeking a Director of Engagement Communications to lead strategy, writing, and analysis for alumni and family communications that strengthen lifelong engagement and increase philanthropic support.

The role partners with the AVP of Engagement and works with Marketing and Advancement teams to craft fundraising solicitations, stewardship messages, and impact reporting while driving innovation in digital communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of fundraising, development, annual giving, or nonprofit communications experience with a demonstrated record of writing effective solicitations for segmented audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute a strategic communications plan for alumni engagement and donor solicitation.
• Write persuasive fundraising solicitations, stewardship messages, and impact reporting for multi-channel campaigns.
• Lead email production standards and collaborate with Marketing/Communications and vendors as needed.
