Job summary

Freedom Source, a subsidiary of Suffolk Construction, seeks an Electrical Procurement Manager to lead direct sourcing and procurement of electrical materials and services across construction projects. You will manage vendor relationships, analyze markets for competitive pricing, and collaborate with architectural, preconstruction, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 5–7 years of procurement or project management experience in electrical contracting.
• Strong negotiation, data analysis and organizational skills.
• Experience with procurement software and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies for electrical materials and services.
• Identify new procurement opportunities and drive revenue support.
• Evaluate risks and partner with reliable vendors.
• Oversee daily procurement team operations and ensure efficiency.
• Review bills of materials and bids for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze vendor quotes for cost-effective purchasing.
• Perform material takeoffs, cost estimates, and pricing.
• Submit product submittals in accordance with project requirements.
• Prepare detailed product lists and quantities for purchase orders.
• Negotiate terms, track orders, and ensure timely delivery.
• Approve invoices and monitor payments.
• Build relationships with external partners to support material delivery.
