Job summary

STO Building Group in New York City seeks an Electrical Procurement Lead to oversee estimating, sourcing, and procurement of long-lead electrical equipment for diverse construction projects.

You will coordinate with clients, engineers, suppliers, and project teams to develop strategies, evaluate proposals, and mitigate schedule risks, with emphasis on MV equipment and data center readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. A master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating, sourcing, and procurement of long-lead electrical equipment.
• Support preconstruction teams with budget pricing, lead-time analysis, and market intelligence.
• Review design drawings, equipment schedules, and vendor proposals for technical and commercial alignment.
• Negotiate terms, manage supplier relationships, and develop procurement strategies.
• Lead procurement planning, budgeting, and risk mitigation across projects.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Education
