Stadler Rail AG in Utah is seeking an Electrical Commodity Buyer to manage strategic sourcing and procurement of electrical components for rail vehicle production programs.

You will develop commodity strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure timely, cost-efficient, and quality-compliant supply, coordinating closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams. Strong MS Office and ERP (Infor COM) skills, along with fluent English, are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in industrial or manufacturing purchasing.
• Resilient and independent personality.
• Strong organizational skills and efficient working methods.
• Very experienced with Microsoft Office and ERP system (Infor COM preferred).
• Fluent in English (written and verbal); German is a plus.

Mansioni

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for electrical commodities.
• Lead commercial negotiations for pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production to align procurement with timelines and specs.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
• Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers meeting Stadler's requirements.
• Conduct market research and total cost of ownership analyses.
• Support cross-site pooling activities and supplier escalations.
• Read and interpret drawings, specs, and BOMs to support procurement.
• Coordinate between suppliers and Engineering to address technical inquiries and changes.
• Manage supplier implementation of engineering changes with proper revision control.
