Dave Steel Company is seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Environmental Health & Safety to lead and continuously improve our safety culture across multiple steel fabrication facilities. This executive leadership position develops, implements, and maintains world-class EHS programs to protect employees, ensure regulatory compliance, and support operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive Environmental Health & Safety experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication, heavy manufacturing, industrial construction, or metal fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's Environmental, Health & Safety strategic plan.
• Lead the organization's safety culture initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Serve as subject matter expert on OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulations.
• Establish measurable safety goals, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Provide regular reports to executive leadership regarding safety performance.
• Develop annual departmental budgets and manage EHS expenditures.
• Conduct routine inspections of fabrication facilities and project sites.
• Partner with Maintenance and Operations to reduce workplace hazards.
