Job summary

Combined Metals Company, LLC is seeking aDirector of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) to lead the design and execution of comprehensive EHS programs across our manufacturing sites in Hampshire, IL and nearby locations. This corporate leader will drive regulatory compliance, safety culture, and risk reduction across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• CSP or CIH or REM desired.
• Experience with OSHA, EPA and related regulatory requirements.
• Minimum 10 years in EHS management with leadership in multi-site manufacturing.
• Strong ability to collaborate across business units and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develops and enforces EHS policies to ensure OSHA/EPA compliance.
• Sets strategy for environmental and safety compliance across business units.
• Guides EHS system including policy, roles, training and auditing to meet regulations.
• Promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement through training and communication.
• Coaches Safety Managers and coordinators to meet programs and initiatives.
• Oversees workers’ compensation investigations, notifications and case management.
• Acts as primary EHS contact for third-party administrators and governance activities.
• Supports Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) within the organization.
• Drives injury-free workplace through hazard recognition and risk reduction.
• Manages safety training calendars and monthly safety communications.
• Oversees facility security access and critical safety alerts and communications.
• Prepares annual environmental reports (SARA Tier II, NPDES, TRI 313, etc.).
• Oversees product compliance programs, including conflict minerals and RoHS-related declarations.
