Job summary

Cherokee Strategic Edge, part of Cherokee Federal, is seeking an Effects Planner to support USSOCOM. The role requires active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a counterintelligence polygraph and is restricted to U.S.

citizens or legal permanent residents with documentation. The position involves coordinating operational-level planning, synchronization, and integration, leading cross-functional teams, and preparing plans and orders.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Government, International Affairs/Relations, or closely related discipline, or 12 years military experience as a Planner.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning support encompassing analytics, assessments, target development, and planning advocacy for subordinate commands.
• Refine and align priorities with national-level objectives and ensure goals align with directives.
• Draft special operations documents including plans, orders, and guidance; advise staff on interpretation.
• Lead cross-functional planning teams to synchronize effects into an operational plan.
• Facilitate working groups to deconflict resources, timing, and objectives.
• Analyze vulnerabilities and nodes within target systems to produce the desired effect.
• Develop Measures of Performance (MOPs) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs).
• Lead target development process and propose targets supporting the campaign.
• Analyze results of operations and provide assessments to leadership.
• Analyze national-level guidance to ensure plans align with directives.
• Draft CONPLANs, OPORDs, and formal planning guidance.
• Present briefings to senior leaders on proposed/current plans.
