Alabama Power Company – Customer Solutions in Birmingham seeks a Profitability & Economic Analysis Analyst to develop financial and economic analyses, including marginal costing and pricing evaluations that support customer programs and regulatory filings. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and communicates results to management to guide strategic decisions and long-term planning.

A strong Excel modeling background is essential, with leadership capabilities and independent work

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Engineering, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field of study preferred.
• Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support financial and economic analysis cases using the PRICEM model (marginal costing model).
• Design and perform ad hoc financial and economic analysis for new marketing programs, energy efficiency and demand response programs, and other programs.
• Support regulatory filing requirements of the Alabama Public Service Commission.
• Support planning and goal-setting for APC Customer Solutions.
• Work in cross-functional teams to analyze and communicate customer contract analytics and profitability.
• Lead and participate in System and APC teams related to marginal economic modeling and assumptions required in decision analysis.
